Forests Old, Deep and Rare

Forests Old, Deep and Rare

In forests old, deep and rare, where crossroads come our way,
Storied cathedral, Journey’s end, new beginning starts today.

Timber woods engage the eyes, lifting fragile spirit,
Walls within soon dissipate, as senses long to hear it.

A new year comes around once more, bringing forth its mystery,
Once inside, illumination, reflecting coming history.

Civilisation behind grows quiet, its sound returned in prayer,
Hope is carried as our lantern, through forests deep and rare.

About this Poem: The last day of the year brings with it, deep reflection of the past. It also brings promise of a new beginning as hope becomes our prayer for the New Year ahead. Happy New Year to Everyone! May our hopes and dreams all come true.

Morning Walk

Morning Walk

Daylight dawns my morning walk, uplifting silence heard.
Connecting moments I embrace, with animal, tree and bird.

Vibrant life in harmony, engaging mysterious tether.
Where consciousness unites us all, and brings it all together.

The paths I’ve traveled, ones less taken, brought me here today,
the mistakes have made me wiser as karma had its say.

I am well at hand and hidden, while ascending experienced years,
All my past is gathered, resolved, and without fears.

Spirit reborn has risen, ego holds no reigns,
self imprisoned no longer, nor weighed down by its chains.

Life unfolds before me, I know from right and wrong,
standing on foundations, understanding keeps me strong.

I walk on my good morning, thoughts surrounding me,
Ready for the days ahead, with the light that helps me see.

About this Poem: This poem expresses the aftermath of personal battles won while also shedding light on the conflict we all face between the ego and spiritual self. Ego grows from internal loneliness to become our protector yet without the teachings of our spiritual connection to the earth and universe we are out of balance and must spend time repairing our essence, lest we lose our way.

Twilight beckons,
before the rain,
glowing brighter,
as night time wanes.
Flash of light,
to see what’s coming,
shivers cast,
to thunders drumming.

I linger here,
in land of snow,
where dark turns light,
and shadows glow.
Radiance shines,
and hugs the dawn,
brilliant umbra,
conception spawned.

Conscious lingers,
and mends my wings,
spirit glowing,
my essence sings.
Thoughts complete,
I am one,
eternities river,
the rising sun.

About the Poem: The transformation of consciousness from one world to another and in between, we rest in twilight.

Twilight Definition: The soft light in the sky seen before the rising and (especially) after the setting of the sun, occasioned by the illumination of the earth’s atmosphere by the direct rays of the sun and their reflection on the earth

Enemy at the Gates

Enemy at the Gates

Silent shrieking, soulless demons, fires burning hither,
Poisoned smiles, evil faces, nations fray and wither.
Deception, vengeance, cold as ice, wicked anger burns,
Skyward looking, lofty Laughter, eyes of hatred churns.

Occupation, days of sorrow, spirits held asunder,
Darkness, dungeons, prison walls, vile vicious thunder.
Sunken eyes, evil spirits, iron dust and flashes,
Howling beasts, torches lit, Village burned to ashes.

Fallen buildings, glowing embers, invasion, broken town,
Wicked, twisted, psychopathic, creation upside down.
Rapacious, greedy, corporations, weapons, global war,
Hopeless, broken, endless fury, nightmares come ashore.

The seeds of death are sewn by satanic leaders who’s actions of war and occupation prove that they are not human beings, but soulless demons who’ve sold their souls for 30 pieces of silver…
