Uprising - The Day of Desolation

Uprising - The Day of Desolation

Roaring fires dance with defiance in determined eyes, while conviction hardens for release in the last days of empire.

Slaves of industry gather on the shores of rebellion, uniting as a fist against the tyrants who command allegiance through their nefarious dispositions of fear and coercion. A force of terror that has etched itself into painful scars and expressions on the nation’s children.

Fury drives the oppressed to the edge of madness where rage fuels anger, resentment, and resolve, seething onto the streets of vengeance; where the echoes of rebellion gather across the nation in city after city making their way to the front lines of conflict. They are united by a singular collective vision, "Remove the tyrants!"

Waiting for them are guns, flashbangs, storms of choking gas and traitors holding the tyrant’s line of defense, like firing squads behind decades of oppression… “Traitors! Traitors all!"

They stand as an armed belligerence drunk on psychotic illusions attacking their own communities like cancer does to its host…these enforcers of supremacist mindset smile in glee as if in a feeding frenzy of unchecked power…mercenaries of the economic god, that are painfully unaware of their fate as a sea of humanity drives forth in a tsunami of determination to drive their oppressors out. Yet, traitors still have a choice as truth, honor and resolve forge the bonds of rebellion that stands united in defiance, against the iron bars of oppression.

A sea of humanity floods past barricades where glass castles and illusions come crashing down. Power usurped by despotic tyrants is shattered by the rocks of truth that brings with it the voice of judgement.

Elitist arrogance and supremacist conviction, laid waste by the justice of karma. Tyranny thus falls and decays in its own rot. A new hope emerges at the end of an age. Yet the search for reason takes pause in judgement and ponders with the stone-cold stare of emptiness…will the face of a new beginning harden in the image of a new tyrant? Or will an age of community begin?

Evolution and chaos, await judgement, on the day of desolation.

About this Prose: The Day of Desolation is about the end phase of an abusive empire, as all abusive empires end and usually very badly…

When people are oppressed and pushed too far, they will rise up and take back what was denied them. Sadly, what often happens after popular uprisings is that the masses go back to sleep after giving up the reigns of power to a new group of tyrants. Thus, the cycle repeats itself over and over again.

We have not yet seen the end of this greedy power cycle, which is fueled by a private monetary system…but it is possible to change once the illusion of money dissipates and spiritual reality takes hold. When we collectively decide to change the way money works, we will evolve into a better world. Otherwise, the status quo will continue and we will, in effect, repeat a cycle with predicable consequences…

Whispers

Whispers

Consciousness stirs within and all around us. It seeks our understanding, and whispers truth to the hearts of pioneers, who birth the evolution and steps of ascent towards an age of new enlightenment. Behold the defining moments of the world, each one a whisper of light by those who dared to listen.

Extinction

Extinction

What becomes of humanity?

…When the planning for war takes precedence over the caring of our children…

Where are human values?

…When it is more important to save a corporation from bankruptcy than it is to save a community from corporate greed…

What becomes of the human soul?

…When authoritarian conditioning replaces empathic reasoning, moral principals and common sense…

Where lays humanity’s future?

…When we surrender our spiritual being to the voracious animal that lies within…

About this Expression:

Today people have been conditioned to accept the words and position of their authority figures instead of moral principals and common sense. Mankind has been enslaved by a sociopathic few. Yet it is entirely humanities fault for allowing the atrocities that have befallen the world to happen…because we have freely given our power and our trust to a soulless private banking and corporate meme who’s sole objective is to seek profit for themselves by whatever means necessary.

The corporate beast does not follow moral guidelines. It’s focused on only one thing, their bottom line. Decisions are made based on economics as corporations do not adhere to any moral principals…Its sole objective is profit, and the driver of it, is greed…

Once, there was a time when our communities were protected from predators. Our own human commitments to each other through organization and strength were based on a code of ethics and moral standing which was applied by common sense and empathy. These were the ruling guidelines that bonded all of us.

The natural laws given to us by our existence belong to all…and so our existence is due to the strength of our community. These facts are what allowed us to survive a millennium of constant upheaval.

Yet now in the age of corporate control, people who practice a return to the moral values of giving and sharing with each other, have been outlawed by the sociopathic few who control society with a corporate iron fist. They are monsters who write history in their ugly image while hypnotizing the masses with greedy illusions…

If humanity wakes up, it just might be too late as we are now facing our own extinction…

Dan’s Return

Dan’s Return

Daylight crests the dawn, as clouds scurry across the bay, the country’s in midwinter, and filled with anticipation.

Horse and cutter clears the snow, mail sleigh is a go, lifting hopeful spirits, with letters replied in tow.

It’s been weeks since Dan returned, but today the mail cart is coming, and Phil’s reply should relieve concerns, that all is well and running.

Dan’s thoughts go back to wars end, when they said their goodbye’s, they made a pledge to redress old times, carry them back to Maine, and open up that damn wood shop.

Phil’s ship left port, two weeks ahead of Dan’s, as he recalled the singing, the excitement and the boat filled with brimming smiles. Life was in celebration and the future was ours.

Clopping hooves and sleigh bells break the frosty air to ring in mornings excitement, as the postman shakes guarded memory, places a single letter in the box and slips away with his team.

Bandaged hands excitedly waving his thanks, Dan moves swiftly towards the letterbox. “Damn these dressings, my hands don’t work. I can’t open a simple letterbox, how will I tell Phil the shop will have to wait? Here’s my Martha now to help me with these tricky things.”

“These darn hands don’t seem to work with these bandages dear Martha, could you open up the letterbox dear, so we can both take a look?”

Bundled warm in coat, boots and sweater, Martha retrieved the postman’s delivery. Eyes round and glowing, she turns with letter in hand and makes for the house.

“Yes, let’s go inside to read it, it’s too cold out here, we’ll certainly catch our death.”

Inside the kitchen, with woodstove all alight, Martha opened the letter to read Phil’s writing.

Dear Martha,

…the letter wasn’t for me! What’s that devil up to, thought Dan…and so behind Martha he stood to read Phil’s words…

When I left your Dan in France, his wounds were healing, the Great War was over, and the future was all ours to build. Dan spoke of you often with such love in his eyes, and was heading back to ask for your hand.

I went to greet his boat a day early, and booked two tickets to Maine. Dan wanted to introduce me to his future bride, so I waited at the station in great anticipation for news on his arrival. I waited long, but was truly looking forward to the reunion when the news came…Not one day out, their ship was hit by a mine, the ship sank…and all aboard was lost…there were no survivors…I’m so sorry…

Martha broke down in tears, and tossed the letter aside. Dan looked down…”but I made it home, I’m with you here, now…”

Martha, distraught, got up and ran from the empty room, leaving the letter behind…

Dan sat down in his usual spot and stared at the tear filled paper on the table…

About Dan’s Return: Phil and Dan were comrades who survived World War I and on Phil’s departure pledged to meet up back home in the States. Although Dan’s return is not as expected…

Stormy Journey

“You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.” ~ Ray Bradbury

Stormy Journey

Old tormented mind fastens arms around a failing rudder, gripped tightly, clinging to a solitary vision, on the tempestuous seas of insanity.

Anxious thoughts gather, yet mind firmly anchored on the horizon of monstrous rolling waves that scream at him like banshees on the rocks.

Rain-soaked face determined, boldly cursing Poseidon’s squalling battle, “You shall not sink me!”.
Two bright lanterns stubbornly flicker on into the headwinds of gnashing thoughts, resolved to see through victory, else the fathoms of the deep await should he drop his pen.

About this Poem: The Poem was inspired by a quote from Ray Bradbury, “You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.” – The Poem is my personal testament to the truth of these words…the need to keep writing, or the establishments reality will consume me to my death…I fight on…

Evolve

Evolve

If mankind is going to evolve, we must overcome and discard our inherent animal instincts by reaching for the higher spiritual being contained within the life spark that defines our connection to the universe.

Defiance on the Cusp of Darkness

Defiance on the Cusp of Darkness

A rising squall of fear washes over me in a stormy night of vision, demanding my submission to the consuming presence of dark shadows and raging fire.

My essence, no more than a speck of sand in a desert of souls, is swallowed up by forceful currents, dragging me down as its prey to consume my spirit and leave me barren…I must break free…

Panic and anxiety builds, and does not allow thoughts to settle…there is a cauldron of noise in my mind tearing my soul apart as its searing touch descends on me like a shrieking childhood nightmare that raids my core existence…Egoic thoughts from a million minds rush in and crash upon me like shards of glass, their voices screaming for my allegiance to the madness they have embraced.

Eyes tighten in defiance for my own preservation, turning my back on the fear they command as I stand vigilant against their scorching onslaught; fists raised with broken chains, soaked in pain, shouting, "You shall not prevail! …You shall not prevail!".

About this expression: This expression deals with the struggle to maintain sanity and independence within an insane world where non-conformance to the established tyranny is treated as a criminal act that carries a minimum sentence of verbal stoning by the programmed masses…

Here is a fitting song by David Roberts to go with my expression.

David Roberts brings back the craft of story telling through music with “Last Stand of the Giants”. The theme of the song leans on popular myth and folklore on the surface, but deep within, the listener will recognize a parallel to what is happening in the World today. The lyric leaves a profound understanding which is what makes this song extra special in every way. ~ Stewart Brennan ~ World United Music
