About the Author:

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1960, Stewart Brennan is a Canadian poet, writer, blogger, geo-political and economic analyst, lean manufacturing specialist, critical thinker, social and political activist, video producer, photographer, and music promotor.

Stewart has worked in the Aerospace, Aviation, Packaging, Transportation and Logistics Industries in managerial positions and is the author of several blogs including World United News, World United Music, Alternative Views and SF Brennan Art, a blog of creative writing, poetry and prose.

He’s had several poems published in the “Red Hibiscus: Anthology” series Volumes 17, 18, 19 & 20 as well as in “Late Night Poets Virtuosos” & “Late Night Poets Anthology Volume 1 & 2”

Minstral 

I am the astral traveler,

a rebel just visiting here,

in a land of the unliving,

where community lives in fear.

I’m the minstrel of the music,

a curser of mainstream wrongs,

I cater to all the artists,

for their stories, their truth, their songs.

I bring tidings of a future,

I unlock secrets of the past,

I chip away at the torus,

that’s negative and meant to last.

I’m the minstrel of the forest,

I’m a rebel that sings the news,

I’m an outcast from foundations,

for I bring alternative views.

About this Poem: “Minstral” is my online user or pen name which I’ve gone by for over 20 years and still use on platforms such as YouTube where my Music and News channel projects began in 2007. The name reflects my character which, like minstrels of old, share alternative news, views and poetic verse from their travels.

The internet and my own personal experience in life form this character, along with my music and news projects, “World United Music” and “World United News”.

I’m a modern day “Minstral” and activist, deeply emerged in the alternative news and music scenes where “World United Music” is my vat of songs and “World United News”, the information I bring with poetry as my interpretation and experience.

I Still Dream

If dreams came true I would not be a failure at everything I do…

Yet still I dream,

Even though my eyes and ears are covered in labels by people that don’t believe in me…

I can still see…

I can still see the beauty in front of me…

Even though I endure the anguish of others,

the disappointment of mothers,

the condemnation of sisters and brothers,

I still see…

Even when I am laughed at by people immersed in systemic illusions fed by greed,

I still dream of a better world…

I still dream that one day there will be something I do that will blossom and grow…

I still dream,
I thought you should know...

The Corporate Plague

The Corporate Plague

They came well dressed in suits and ties,

they owned the earth through greed and lies,

they made their rules, enforced controls,

and claimed the land on fancy scrolls.

Repulsive breed has all deceived,

consumed all life in schemes they weaved,

while spreading fast are poisoned souls,

who licence greedy corporate goals.

Misled people refuse to see,

embrace the madness and marquee,

the corporate rules that they embrace,

destroys all life, can’t be replaced.

So now it comes to sorrows decree,

Starvation, disease and poverty.

The corporate plague that covers earth,

declares mankind has little worth,

they’ll make us pay while we ignore,

their profit centers on the poor.

Our apathy will not bring change,

while glued to New York’s stock exchange,

starve Fortuna, break on free,

before the banks make their decree.

Bailouts forced by proclamation,

private banks will own your nation,

and they’re the one’s who’ll make us pay,

to burden us with their decay.

But once we drop their growing fear,

the road ahead is crystal clear,

refuse their greed and pollutions,

time to reach for real solutions.

Reverse their drive of growing size,

change the laws and nationalize,

return all lands the bankers stole,

rebuild community is our goal.

As the establishment continues down the current negative energy plain of greed and power, destruction will only multiply in scope and intensity to envelop the entire planet, and bring civilization to an end unless we change our values from negative to positive.

Since the establishment controls the direction of civilization and is unwilling to stop feeding off of negative energy, it will be up to as many of us as possible to change our own energy flow by stepping out of their system of controls to a way of life that is positive in all energy directions.

The race to destroy the planet will not stop unless the majority of people lift themselves out from under their establishment’s greedy negative energy mindset. This is the challenge to everyone on our planet today, and time is running out before all negative trends come together in a clash of war, civilization’s collapse, and death.

The more people that remain in the current pattern of negative energy, the quicker this time line will accelerate to its finality. Civilization is in decay because the foundations are based on lies, greed and power grabbing. It is not desirable to save this negative mathematical matrix of decay and yet when it does go down there will be a lot of pain. The question is will we survive and that depends on what the masses decide. If the majority of the Earths people choose to change their values from greed and lust for power to mutual cooperation and respect, we will change the direction of the negative to a positive in this mathematical matrix of life or death. It is entirely up to you what comes next. We need to change our reality…

Mindset’s and Habits Learned Early in Life

The negative energy matrix is extremely difficult to pull away from because we have been programmed from a very young age to embrace it and that there is no other way to live…but if we are going to save life on Earth, we need to use common sense and pull back from the direction of our collapsing society…Time is short now, as we see another war unfold before us…each individual must make a decision to break free from their fears and step away from the establishment’s economic system and program. Material things do not matter when health is at stake, only the positive energy of love can change the direction, so use this wisdom in your daily routines and repeat often so that it becomes a subconscious choice and direction.

Start interacting, communicating with each other and forming a social bond that helps you and your communities live without the monetary system or the programs that feed it.

Today’s system of government does not have the community’s survival at heart, they are concerned with maintaining a dying economic model and that brings with it all the wrong choices empowered by negative decisions and energy…it is doomed to fail.

Let go of your fears, and open your minds to positive energy and repeat mutual respect often until your subconscious mind is reprogrammed where decisions become instinct, all your internal battles will be won…replace the negative values with positive ones…

An anxious hush descends on earth, as a swell of surging energy turns the world upside down, while we who watch from sanctuaries below, wait for evil spirits to pass...

Riders on the storm 

Evil takes on form, in rise of sudden storms, 

to govern tempests spiraling on your shore, 

filling darkened skies, are windy banshee cries, 

that brings a fearful shiver to your door. 

Playing with your mind, invasive and maligned, 

a void of cold sets in from head to toe, 

angel rays appear, to cut through all the fear, 

and chase the arctic shadow from your soul. 

Darker skies do pass, as new beginnings cast, 

our guardians have chased away the wraith, 

peace again on earth, as life renews its hearth, 

and hope returns to many without faith.
