To Breathe and Grow
I don’t support the mainstream news,
those corporate actors on a stage,
nor idol makers, twisted views,
on worship alters of our age.
I don’t believe, what they unfold,
research instead what I don’t know,
which makes me seem a little bold,
but helps me see; to breathe and grow.
I cannot rest when told a lie,
but speak to that which threatens me,
to share the knowledge I come by,
while hoping that it sets me free.
I question censors of my voice,
the ones who force their will on me,
who take my freedoms and my choice,
on everything they disagree.
I don’t believe, what they unfold,
research instead what I don’t know,
which makes me seem a little bold,
but helps me see; to breathe and grow.
I once believed the mainstream news,
believed the stories I was told,
until the day I found out why,
the day I found I was controlled.
Today I’m free, I have let go,
my focus now is straight ahead,
my mind no longer in the slow,
nor filled to brim with all the dread.
I don’t believe, what they unfold,
research instead what I don’t know,
which makes me seem a little bold,
but helps me see; to breathe and grow.
