First Day of School

First Day of School

Alien born,
late to class,
all eyes beam in my direction,
air of sharpened pencils and lead,
I cannot breathe.

Teacher salutes,
extended finger,
military daycare,
first order, sit in back.
cumbrous weight,
caught in a trap.

Face burning red.
eyesight blurry,
thirty beings watch my steps,
surveillance born in scrutiny,
their lasers burn my warlock soul.

appointed little space,
Sanctuary!
essence hides behind closed eyes,

Crack!!

Now awakened,
follow the dotted line.
